Motorcamping de Berkenhof

There is a cafe on the campsite itself. The building in which the cafe is housed used to be an old school and was built in 1908. It has a beautiful historical appearance due to its special facades and architectural style. The building was restored by the owner himself in 2000/2002 .

The building was known as “Alte Schule“. The interior is a combination of country and biker cafe. It is used exclusively for the motorcycle arrangements which must be reserved in advance. Individually you can usually participate in this, but before you come, inquire first whether it is also possible for the day or weekend in question. Outside of these weekends the cafe is closed, this also applies to the camping site.

During the arrangements various activities can be organized. Such as beer crate stacking, air rifle shooting, klootschieten, darts and country line dancing. We can also supervise our own organized activities on request.

At 400 meters from the camping lies the village Wielen with about 650 inhabitants, mostly Dutch. here is a small supermarket and hardware store and gas station.

Background information

In 2005 we started as a motorcycle-friendly campsite and found our passion in this. This gave us so much satisfaction that we wanted to continue as a fully-fledged motorcycle campsite, which we have been doing since 2007. An additional incentive was the fact that there are only a few locations for motorcycle recreation in the Netherlands, while the Netherlands is a real motorcycle country with many motorcycle clubs. Most of them do not want to go too far, but still want to be out in a different area or environment and where better to do that than just across the Dutch border in Germany. So close but still the idea that you are far away. The landscape offers many possibilities for motorcyclists and there are enough roads to tour. We can also always guarantee a low price because we all have a permanent job and do not have to live from the campsite, we see it as a way of spending free time and like to do it, everyone has their own hobby.
